Emplyee policy

1. Leave Intimation and Approval
• All leave requests must be sent via email to the Admin and relevant reporting
authorities.
• Leave must be approved in advance before proceeding on leave.
• Attach supporting documents if applying for medical or emergency leave.

2. Planned Leave
• Should be applied at least 2 days in advance.
• Longer leave (more than 3 working days) should be applied 1 week in advance.
• Approval is subject to work schedules, team availability, and deadlines.

3. Sudden/Emergency Leave
• In case of emergency or sickness, inform the reporting authority via call or message
immediately.
• A formal email must follow within 24 hours of taking leave.
• Failure to inform may lead to salary deduction (up to 2 days) or disciplinary action.

4. Medical Leave
• Leaves exceeding 2 consecutive days require a doctor’s certificate.
• Frequent medical leave without documentation may not be approved in future.

5. Casual Leave (CL)

• Elimination of Casual Leave: Casual leave will no longer be applicable.
• Unpaid Leave: All leaves taken will be considered unpaid leaves.
• Festival Leaves: The academy will observe and grant leaves for all major festivals as
per the academic calendar.

6. Earned Leave (EL) / Vacation Leave
• Must be planned in advance and used responsibly.

7. Leave Without Pay (LWP)
• Granted when leave balance is exhausted.
• Subject to approval and affects salary and benefits.

8. Academic Leave (For academic institutions)
• Must be supported with institutional letters for seminars, conferences, or exams.
• Faculty/students must ensure responsibilities are delegated or covered.

9. Maternity / Paternity Leave
• As per government rules:
• Maternity Leave: Up to 26 weeks.
• Paternity Leave: Up to 2 weeks (varies by institution).

10. Half-Day / Short Leave
• Must be pre-approved.
• Repeated short leaves may be counted as 1 full day leave.

11. Leave Tracking and Records
• Employees are responsible for tracking their leave balance.
• Admin/HR will maintain official records, and any discrepancies should be reported
immediately.

12. Uninformed Absence
• Absence without intimation for more than 2 days will be treated as abandonment of
duties.
